This morning Jack informed me that he had a loose tooth after he bit into his whip cream topped waffle. I watched him continually play with that tooth for the rest of the morning. He was constantly working it with his tongue and with his upper lip. I took some pics of the kids that I will upload at some point and he was playing with the tooth throughout them. Since he only mentioned the loose tooth this morning I figured it to be just starting and that it would be a little bit before it actually came out. So there we were singing the Sacrament hymn and Natty taps me and says "Jack just lost his tooth can I take him to the bathroom". I looked over and there was Jack staring at me with a bloody tooth and fingers and eyes wide open. I gave her the go ahead. We were sitting on the front row and they were making there way to the aisle when the verse ended and there was that slight lull in the music. At that point Jack proudly declared "I lost my tooth!" and the next verse kicked in. Fantastic. Glad Natty was there and excited to take him out. I really shouldn't be surprised that the tooth came out so quickly. That is one of Jacks things, He has to pick at it and cannot leave it alone whatever it is. In this case, when he realized it was loose there was no stopping him. He was going to play with it.
In other news I popped a couple of my home storage for dinner tonight. I decided we needed to see how good the canned meat was and so I cooked rice and then opened up the Kalua Pig recipe that I did. It actually turned out quite good. The jars of meat that I opened had been on the shelf nearly a year and they were perfect. That can make food storage a bit more exciting. Store stuff that you like and will eat... that is probably some fairly good advice. President Hartman was a big believer in that as am I. Gotta get more of that good stuff going.
