It's hard to say which is the harder move to make, the long distance move when a truck is needed or the quick move next door? I just finished the move next door. I dont ever want to move again. I don't really... Sorry, asleep.

Is it over?
My body has been screaming is it over for the last several hours. No, not quite yet. We are getting closer.
Hell Month
Ahh, hell week. We remember hell week right? Is that just a football thing or do other sports offer a week of pure hell? Regardless, the month of March is coming and for that I am grateful. We will be moved in the next night or so and for that I am quite thatkful.

Wilson
Natty got a volleyball for her birthday. She told me how much she likes volleyball so I thought it would be a good gift. She was quite excited about it. I shared with her the story of how I would spend hours practicing setting as I listened to the Phantom of the Opera. We've discussed a few things and I have taught her some things about hitting the ball. She is practicing already and enjoying it. That is fun for me as I love the sport.
Somehow we got on the topic of Wilson and that lead us in to Cast Away and Chuck Nolans best friend on the island. The kids had never seen the movie so we decided we had to watch it. What a flick. It was a sad moment for all when we watched the best supporting actor in the film float away. Natty did note that at the end of the movie after Chuck lost Kelly for the second time and went to deliver the package, as they scanned across the Jeep there was a new volleyball in the passenger seat. I had never noticed it before but there it is and Wilson lives on.
Fourteen
My firstborn child has reached the age of fourteen. What an amazing person she is. NattySue, so happy to have you in our family. You are wonderful and a tremendous daughter.

Repeat...
Pete and Repeat are sitting on a fence. Pete falls off. Whose left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat are sitting on a fence. Pete falls off. Whose left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat are sitting...
I feel like I'm just repeating the same thing over and over lately. I am so tired at the end of the day that I sit down and I am out. The brain shuts down and I cannot think of what to say. It is actually Saturday morning and I am editing this post. When I sat down all that came to mind was basically a repeat and then that little riddle popped into my mind but all I managed to get down was: So dang tired.
There were a couple other things that happened yesterday worth noting. When Andy and I walked to school the Principal, Mr. Oldroyd was out sitting on a wall with a boy scissor locked between his legs. The boy was screaming and beating on Mr. Oldroyd who was texting someone. I figure it was Mrs. Coonan because as we were walking down the hall she came out of the office heading in our direction. She said she wanted to talk to me about how good Andy was doing on his work and then her full attention was on Mr. Oldroyd who had come in behind us with the boy. Andy and I went down to his class and that was the end of it.
Later I received a text from Mrs. Coonan apologizing for not having time to talk. She told me again how good Andy was doing and then she talked about Jack briefly. Apparently Jack showed up on the scene with this boy who had lost it, not sure of the details there but Sharon said Jack was a tremendous help to the boy and getting him to calm down. I asked Jack about it later and he was just like oh I just talked to him. Anyhow, it was nice to hear good things about these boys. They are good boys.
On the topic of children let me also note that Natty really enjoyed her last day of being 13. I don't know how many times she good me she was getting so old. She also kept talking about things she was doing for the last time as a 13 year old. I think she is excited for her birthday. She is really a good girl.
Grateful for good kids and the joy they are in my life.
Anyhow, Pete and Repeat are sitting on a fence. Pete falls off. Whose left?

Making Progress
I finished the floor in the dining room this morning. It looks pretty fantastic. It will look even better when I trim it out. It is a good looking floor. I didn't get any other floor down tonight but I did get the upstairs hallway ready to go. Lots of staples to pull and bedroom carpets to trim back. Hopefully I can get that done in the morning and then turn my focus to the living room and kitchen. Fun stuff.
On a different note, I was sitting here typing away on my not so smart phone with my two thumbs and suddenly thought about the typing class I took in high school. Certainly glad I've got the homerow keys down. My fingers are going to be rusty when I hook up the internet again and am done with this method. Oh well, it works I guess and the keys are all in the same places.
Feeling a little something coming on. I don't have time to be sick right now. Hoping it is nothing.

Little Helpers
I've got a couple little boys that love to be helpful. They are wonderful. Last night I had Andy helping me rip up tack strip and bass board. Sweet. He also enjoyed putting tape on me. Lots of conversation. Tonight it was Jacks turn. Jack helped with flooring . What a kid. So grateful to have help.

Aches in the Legs
I spend the majority of my day on my feet and today I was feeling it. Perhaps I am a bit worn out from the weekend? With all that dancing there is a good chance of that. It is probably a good thing I am on my fret all day cause when I do sit down... Oh my goodness, It's lights out time.
Sat Down
I just sat down is what I said an hour and a half ago. Yep, sat down and pretty much passed out. It ended up being a full day, a busy day. I had planned to do some things on the house but that didn't quite happen. So tomorrow I will need to avoid sitting down and simply work through it...

Bob
I am sitting in the future family room hanging out by the fire that Jack insisted we have this evening. It has been a long day of floor prep. I rented the big floor grinder today and ground down don't concrete. That is an extremely dusty and dirty job. Where is Mike Rows when I need him? Well no Mike but I did have Bob Rosenberg. Bob is one fantastic man. He used to stop by when I lived around the corner to check up on me and see about the projects I had going on. He and his wife Betty are wonderful people, always kind to me and the kids. It is great to have good neighbors.
Well, Bob put in some hours today, helping to chip out old tile cement that was stuck on linoleum. It was a hard job and I am quite thankful that Bob came over and tackled it. P
In other news of the day our neighbor Cal passed away last night. Cal was quite old and lived a full life. I wrote about him recently when I mentioned Patriarch Jones. They were great friends. Glad to have met Cal.

Making Cookies
A couple months ago I started making cookies for the Brick House. This dropped our cookie cost in half, we like that. Anyway, I got the recipe from Annie Draper and think they are quite good. I need to sleep now.
Can't Stop
I was hoping to be moved by this Thursday. That isn't going to happen. Too much work and not enough time. If I can keep things moving I might be able to move us in time for Natty's birthday on the 22nd. I can't stop. Gotta keep on, keepin on.

Theme
There has been a bit of a recurring theme the last several posts, short and probably not real clear. My apologies for any seeking literary genious, I just don't.have it in me right now. Short and not real clear stems from me being completely exhausted which I am right now. Wonderful day. Must sleep. Oh yes Happy Birthday Ronald Reagen, Dan Morris and little Griffen.
Non Stop Action
There is no down time in my day right now. So much to do right now that when I do finally have a chance I am so tired that I am asleep in no time. Wow, I stand no chance... Have to go,

2nd Place at The Derby
As the title indicates Jack took second place in the Pinewood Derby tonight. It was awesome. On his first run he was completely surprised that he actually won. Last year the best he ever got was 2nd so when his car won in convincing fashion he was pretty surprised. Then he won again and he said something like "We've got a fast one here". It was awesome to see him win and to see his exitement but what was even better see was Jack consoling another scout who was in tears after he had lost. Jack recognized he was upset, went to where he was, patted his back and told him it would be ok. Cool moment.
Anyway great night at the Derby. Congratulations big Jack.

Tough
I don't know why I wrote tough down as the title. That happened over an hour ago when I first started this post. Then I fell asleep... Maybe I was thinking about how hard it was to type on my phone?
My goodness there is a lot to do next door. I have to get a few vitals taken care of so we can move in. I would type more but I am barely awake and something weird is happening with this phone. Ahhh, that is the tough part.

Tile... Done!
Long day and I just erased my post somehow. Sweet. So now a very lovely post about the tile. I had a lot of it to be chipped out. Let me just say before I pass out, tile... Done. Now, I'm done
