Checking In

Stopped in at the Brick House 15 minutes before opening and found Makayla there by herself without a cook in the kitchen.  Should I be surprised that people are not showing up for their shift?  I don't know that I should after last week.  So I ended up working and spent the majority of the day there with the exception of an hour or so at the folks where dad got out of bed and in his chair and actually drove around for a bit.  It was a big plus to see that happen.  Anyway, I was back there this evening and was working until 7:30 PM.  Made for a long day.  I am now ready for bed, ready to check out for the day.
