One Nineteen Seventeen

I may adopt this way of titling more often.  It is easier.  It has been a bit of a wintry day.  There was a light snow on the ground when I took Natty to seminary and there was a real light snow fall happening as well.  An hour later that had kind of turned to rain but hardly noticeable.  The light snow that was on the ground was gone by the time I had Andy off to school.  Throughout the day we saw the occasional flurry but nothing sticking.  At 5:30 I took Natty into work and whilst checking on things at the shop the snow started coming down.  In fact I was talking to my friend Jake Adams who happens to work for UDOT and drives a snow plow.  He was in for some dinner.  The snow started dropping really heavy and building up quickly on the road.  He was going to be eating in a hurry because he had to go to work.  I have shoveled the drive and the walk down to the corner.  Last shoveling was at 11.  The snow has stopped for now.  If it holds for the remainder of the evening my work tomorrow morning on the walks will have been done.  If it continues to fall then I will obviously be busy.  The forecast is calling for snow everyday for at least the next three days and possibly more. When you live in the desert snow is not something you complain about.  We always need the water.  Well, the reality is that there are those who don't like the snow and will certainly complain. For me, I have lived in the West for much of my life and truly appreciate a good snow storm. We will see if the next few days are in fact filled with snow.  If so, we will take it happily.
