Citizenship

The new High Priest Group leadership in the Cedar 8th Ward spoke in our sacrament meeting this morning.  It was a good meeting and I felt much gratitude for the wisdom of these men.  3 of them are a little older then I am, like 30 years give or take.  They have experienced much and they love this wonderful country in which we live.  Each shared the need we have as citizens of our country to know of it's founding, to understand the constitution and the inalienable rights that we have guaranteed by the constitution.  We have a responsibility as citizens to be involved and to help make our country great.  We cannot sit back and wait on others to do it for us.  As we strengthen our families we strengthen our communities and our country.  I have work to do in my family to help my children know and understand our countries founding, the great blessing it is to live in this land.  We need to stand for truth and right and to protect the freedoms that we enjoy.  I am grateful again for these men who spoke today - Gary Dunford, Gary Taylor, Brother Carlisle and Tex Asay.  Good men, good messages, grateful heart.
