It is Mother's Day 2015. As usual we went to church and heard some wonderful talks about mother's and the amazing things that they do. As usual the primary children got up to sing 'mother I love you'. As usual my boys refused to get up. Jack was claiming disability because of a stuffed nose and Andy always refuses to go up and sing with the primary. I'm certainly not going to force them to get up because it would most likely cause a scene. We don't need scenes especially on Mother's Day. As is tradition in the 8th Ward the women folk were served pie to celebrate the day. Wonderful!
I am grateful for mother's. What a wonderful job they do. I think I have gained a better understanding of what the many thankless hours of work in the home, behind the scenes is all about. Wow. It takes a very special person to do what mother's do and to do it well. In my own family we were blessed with a wonderful mother who was a mother in every sense of the word. With 8 children born into this world she has been busy. I am grateful for her love for me and for my siblings. There has been much sacrifice over the years. There has been much gospel teaching and leading by example. I am very grateful for the foundations of faith in my life that were laid by my mother. What a treasured gift is mother. Thank you mom for everything.
