Primer

I had a goal to get a few things done on the car today.  I wanted to grind out the rust spots, apply some bondo and start spraying primer on rear end.  I managed to grind out the rust spots and looked at the bondo but decided not to do it since Dan told me to just use bondo he already had instead of the one I just bought.  I will take it back.  I left the vehicle for a while and continued on with my dirt moving project from yesterday.  I got my little tiller/cultivator out and went to town.  I had to pause and use the pickax for some of it then carried on tilling all of it.  I then raked it out and it is looking a lot better than it was.  There is still a lot of work to do there but I've made some headway in the last two days.  I also started digging holes for the posts.  My neighbor just brought me a post hole digger so that will help in the process.  I also moved more rocks to the edge of the grass.  I need to go out on a rock hunt and see what I can come up with for the rest of it.  Fun stuff.  I managed to get back to the car and began taping off the back end - tail-lights, rear window, back seat windows, other lights, the tail pipe and I think that was it.  Anyway, I started priming and got the rear done.  Unfortunately I think I am going to have to remove the tape at some point and then I'll have to tape again when it comes time of the final coat.  There is sanding that needs to happen with the primer and then I need to clean the surface with soap and water before painting.  I don't think my taping off the windows will make it through a wash.  Maybe I should just leave it primer gray.  That's a good look.
