Bobcat Jack

Today was the first Pack Meeting for Jack.  It was a good meeting.  He did pretty well.  We actually had a bit of an emergency that delayed our arrival some and when we got there they were reciting the pledge.  At first Jack stopped, saluted and started reciting the pledge.  Then he noticed the Color Guard and walked right up to the front and joined them.  No invitation needed.  Bobcat Jack was ready to go.

They gave away awards and he got a packet with his belt loops for archery and BB gun shooting, one for collecting, a summer pin and a couple other things.  It was great.  Later he got called up for his Bobcat award.  Fantastic.  I got to go up to get the Bobcat pin.  Jack managed to get it on with a little help from me.  I'm sure I broke all the rules of cub scouting when I helped him with the pin.  I am almost certain this was the first time he'd even seen anything like that and he was lost.  When all was done the pin was on the inside and the stop was on the outside.  Don't know if you call that a stop but I did.   He was excited tonight to see his cousins come in.  They just turned 8 and so this was their first activity.  That will be great.

I am completely spent.  I was just sitting here dreaming about sitting here and dreaming.  In my dream I was dreaming, knew that I was dreaming and was trying to wake up but was powerless to do so.  Call the people at Inception.  It is time for a sequel.   Perhaps my story line lacks the needed flare.

Natty and Andy are also doing quite well.  Sure am grateful for and love these kids.  I
