Today we put up a sign out front with the new Brick House Cafe logo on it - nice work Jay. It was just a quick reface of our sandwich sign that we put out by the road. It looks good and it indicates to passers by the we are OPEN. We had the coming soon sign hanging up in the window and that left a few folks confused and unsure. Anyhow, the OPEN sign seems to have motivated people to come in. Funny how that works. Today was a busy lunch - old school busy lunch with lots of visitors. It was great. The kitchen was hopping the wait staff was handling the front and things went pretty well for how busy we were. Glad for that. There was a moment there where we nearly had every table occupied. I don't think it will be much longer before that is the case and we have a waiting list. Well, I can hope anyway. Very grateful for the business.
Open sign. I wonder if I have an open sign effect when people look at me. Is my countenance inviting or does my demeanor drive them away? As I try to live the gospel my hope would be that people feel a warm and inviting spirit about me and that I can be and influence for good in their lives. As I reflect further on this particular thought I think of some great men who have been found serving me.
