Both Natty and Jack were dragging their backsides this morning. I had French Toast on the table ready to go and they were both still in bed. My alarm was going off telling me we had 15 minutes before we needed to be praying and preparing to walk out the door. Natty had begun to move but Jack was still under covers. Well, 10 minutes after we were supposed to leave I had them out the door. I was rather surprised 5 minutes later when Jack walked back in the house. He said "my legs just don't want to work today, I need my bike". I hurried around back, got his bike and finally he was on his way. What a monkey.
Andy was home with me yet again today. He has a runny nose that just won't quit. He is feeling a lot better and probably could have gone back today but I decided we would give it one more day and hope that we can get beyond this snot problem.
Life presses forward. I spent the day on some furniture prep and painting. The folks brought over a new load. Two pieces will be focused on refinishing rather then painting. These are old pieces. It will be fun to play with them and see what we can do. I want them to look good. I worked with the liquid sander today. It went on pretty easy. Not sure if I did it right though there wasn't much to the directions. I wasn't getting the kind of stick that I was hoping for but I think we will be okay. There are four stools that I thought would go quick but they are proving me wrong. A real pain in the booty. Other pieces are going alright. The big entertainment center is going to look good and there is a little stool that I think will turn out great. Most of the pieces got a base coat of the black today and will be getting top coats in red or green. It is supposed to snow tonight and that will cramp me up a bit in the garage but we will make do.
Okay, so here are some pictures of the kids with their envelopes - custom made envelopes. Glad for their excitement and hope we all have fun.
