Pete's Brother

So last night when I got home from the conference Jim asked me if anyone had referred to me as Pete's brother. There wasn't anyone there that I really knew though a couple that I had recognized and no one that I had any conversations about Pete or anyone else for that matter. Today was different. Last night on the dance floor as I was dancing randomly by myself there was a small group that I was dancing near and they allowed me to hang with their group. I saw them at lunch today and decided I would join them. While sitting there a girl sat down with the group who I had seen somewhere before. I had no idea where and then determined that I must have known her at the University Ward. We didn't talk. Later in the day I was with the group and I asked her if she ever went to the University Ward and mentioned Bishop Van. She said that she did attend over the summer and then asked what my name was. I replied John Fontano - wait for it... wait for it- "Oh you re Pete's Brother". Why yes, yes I am. Proud to be Pete's brother at that.

Her name is Karry Rathje and she said that Pete made the summer that she was there very enjoyable. She talked about a leadership conference where she told Pete he should hide in the freezer at the store (I guess they went shopping). So the group was walking around the store and through the freezer section and there was Pete standing behind the glass. Karry said she just laughed. I sent Pete a text about it and he told me he was doing a fish stick impersonation for her. Classic Pete. Sweet Pete the Ladies treat - ooohhhh so smooth.

So it was nice to meet someone that knew the family. It was nice to have a group to hang out with. It certainly made things not so lonely and weird. I am glad for that. the classes were all really good - some were better then others but still verry good. Very grateful for Jim and Clo for the birthday gift and for entertaining the kids while I go.
