The Big A

In a few days, well I guess 9 days, Andy will be turning 5. Hard to believe that my baby boy is going to be 5 and that he will be starting school. In fact today we had kindergarten assessments. Andy and I shuffled in at our appointed time and we met Mrs. Wood. She is great and Andy seems to like her as well. He did pretty well in the assessments. At one point she pulled out some shapes. Andy was solid on the first - it was a circle. The next two were a square and rectangle but Andy went with Triangle for each of them. I was laughing some watching this. Finally the last shape was the Triangle - I thought for sure he was going to nail it - "it's a square". Classic kid.

We had soccer practice for the Smurf It's and Andy joined in. He likes to run around and actually stole the game ball a couple of times. He would dribble it over and shoot it against the fence. We would all clap for him and then he'd give us a little bow. Funny stuff.

So Big Andy is growing up on me way too fast. Well, fast in most areas anyway. He is a good little boy and we are so blessed to have him in our family.
