Carpet Pad

When pulling carpet on Saturday we experienced a bit of a challenge with a carpet pad that had been glued to the floor and then the carpet was glued to it.  That pad did not pull up very well with the carpet and was a nightmare trying to get out.  It still is a nightmare.  As reported yesterday, I scraped popcorn ceilings.  That is a bit of a messy job and it tends to cover the ground pretty well.  It turns out that much of the floor the popcorn ceiling fell on was covered by this stingy pad.  After a night sitting under the popcorn Dave hit it with the scraper and it came up quite a bit easier.  We aren't sure why, it just did.  Pretty cool.  I ended up shoveling excess popcorn ceiling into cans and dumping it over the remaining pad just to try and duplicate it.  Some pulled easy while others were still challenging.  Long way to go but we'll get there.
