The boys and I did a fun little hike today. A year ago we hiked to squaw cave with Jay, Sara and fam. It was a fun little hike. Today we hiked up in the mountains around the cave and managed to find it by tracking the river bed that flowed in that direction. There is a pretty good drop off and waterfall into the cave. Anyway, not too difficult but a bit challenging for the boys.
The area is one that I have wanted to explore. That river bed heads back a ways into a box canyon. I'd like to get back there, the boys, not so much. Looks like a solo run. I did see bike tracks in the river bed - that could be fun.
We did have fun exploring and looking at the effects of water on dirt and rock. It was neat to see layers of earth that were worn there through time.
