Get On The Floor

Doesn't J-Lo sing a song called Get On The Floor?  Maybe that is not the title of the song but a lyric, maybe?  I am out of touch with the J-Lo.  I do know there is a song on Just Dance 4 that Natty and I challenge on, it is by J-Lo and has something to do with "the floor".  And that is all I really have to say about the J-Lo.  This is about installing the floor at the LBH.  It has been a full day.  It has been a day when my focus aimed down.  Had some great help, Jay and Sara, who took over the paint, put in a lot of hours with us today and that was most appreciated.  Jay stuck with the paint and trimmed out the dining area rather well.  A real stud.  After two days of painting I was happy not to have to do it again today.  No, my focus was the floor. 

We had to get the floor cleaned up.  Part of construction involved a lot of trash, a lot of tools, a lot of stuff on the floor.  We had to get things cleaned up and that is where we started.  Then we had a couple of soft spots.  One I cut into and tore it up.  I actually ripped out a section of flooring, to the beams.  There was some rotted wood that was making the floor a bit spongey.  Anyway, got it ripped up and new stuff installed.  It was a fun day.  We actually got to the floor?  Fun times for sure.

The night ended up running late.  We were there until after midnight.  Not the plan but we were making progress on laying down the floor and we stuck with it.  More to do tomorrow.  Not really a Sunday worker but the ox is in the mire or the Ass is in the ditch.  Grateful for whatever help we get on this flooring thing.
