Fire in the Hole!

Fire in the hole! was the call that came out of Jack's mouth when he put the cap back on his volcano fully loaded and ready to explode.  A few seconds later it was done.  The pop, the top flying in the air, the flour creating the dust cloud effect and several students and maybe even 1 or two parents realized that Jack just did something totally different than everyone else.  It was cool, a good moment for big Jack.  We had fun with this little project.  Jack especially had fun with all the testing he got to do.  I think he had a pretty good plan and did a good job executing.  All morning he kept saying world first when speaking about the volcano.  I don't know that it was a world first but it was a good idea and a good demonstration of an erupting volcano.  Fire in the hole!
