Had my weigh in today for week number two. I am down 6 pounds this week which is still good for a week but not as good as I was hoping for. I came up one less pound then what I had dropped last week and that is a bummer. I am going to have to step it up this final week. Actually, I have 10 days (including today) remaining on the 500 calories. If I can drop a pound a day i will be in perfect position heading into maintenance. There my goal will be an additional 10 pounds over a 3 week period. If I can manage it I will be down in the weight range I was at when returning home from my mission. That will be good.
The 6 lbs this week brings my total weight loss since beginning this journey to 50 lbs. That is since July 7th of last year. My clothes are all a little on the big side. They will remain that way for a while as I have no way of getting new clothes right now and quite frankly I really don't care if things fit me loose. I actually find it easy to simply slide pants on and off without needing to mess with the zipper and button. My belt has holes throughout it so I don't have to do anything there and I can simply fold my pants a bit when tightening my belt and create pleats. I am sure it looks terrible but I am a guy that simply doesn't care. Who am I going to impress anyway? Not real worried about it.
Mom just mentioned today how I looked when I got off the plane when returning from South Africa and my mission. I had my suit pants folded with a couple extra pleats and safety pinned in that position as well. I had lost 50 lbs. on the mission and the suits and clothes didn't really fit any longer. I was a little suprised one day when I went to gather my old suit and it was gone. Oh well. Ma decided it needed to be parted with. Very well.
So I've got a ways to go still. That is okay, we will keep pressing forward one day at a time.
