So last night we officially decided that we would celebrate the new year early so that we could all just go to sleep. I know, what has happened to me? So we already missed 10 which would have put us in line with the East coast so we looked at the clock and we could hit 11 without much trouble. Then we looked even closer and decided if we were going early that 10:45 would be just as good. So at 10:45 on December 31st, 2010 we officially celebrated the new year. Ahhh, it was great. I still didn't get to sleep myself until midnight but that is okay.
Here is a plus for the blogging as opposed to journal writing. I don't have to worry about screwing up the date any longer. That year change was always a challenge to remember during the first quarter of the year.
Not too much to report on. We had somewhat of a relaxing day hat home. I say that but then when I think about it I actually can only remember sitting down a couple of times. I did put on a kitchen safety course today for Andy. It was one of the take home activities for December in his class. Jack joined in keeping tabs on the safety patrol and we had a good time. We enjoyed a couple of other activities as well.
The shoulder is still hurting but not nearly as bad today. That is good. Last night was tough because I like to sleep on my right side but that hurt to bad. I went for the left side and the back and even the stomach. It is tough. Anyway, I kept it in the sling today and then at 7 I went out to work on the table. At that point I took my arm out of the sling and have not had it back in since. I got the wood for the top sanded, cut, and secured. It is coming a long. Have some additional sanding to do now and then painting. I am not sure what I am going to do there. It is not going to match the entertainment center so maybe something a long the black lines that doesn't clash will be a good mix. I don't think the natural look will go so well. I don't know, maybe that would be best. I will download a picture at a later time. The arm did fine within certain limitations. Funny enough it was putting wood putty in some holes on the table that caused the most discomfort. Well, grateful that it is feeling better and looking forward to even less pain tomorrow.
Happy for the New Year and looking forward to the exciting things that will come our way in 2011.
Well, nothing too exciting today.
