We're all familiar with the term Easter Sunday right? I should think we have heard that a time or two. Well, today was Easter Saturday. We had a full and fun day. This morning we did a little Easter egg hunt over at the school. Jim, Clo, Sara, Mom and I went and hid the eggs. Jay came over after a bit and then we called the kids over. The hunt was on.
The kids had a great time running around collecting eggs. They all did pretty good. After we played some kickball, one round is all that was necessary. Everyone had a great time. Natty kicked a homerun, nicely done. Jay had a Babe Ruth moment and kicked a homerun into the trees which he called prior to the kick. I don't know that he expected it to get stuck there. It was a fitting end to the game.
We had a little adult dinner at Cafe Rio this evening and then a group of us went down to the Temple to do Baptisms. It was Natty's first time. Mack was going to go but has been sick so she had to pass. Anyhow, Natty had a great time. Marien and Clayton also participated as did Conner Boyle - Jay and Sara's nephew and Clayton's friend. Jim and Clo were there as were the folks and Dave and Dani.
Natalie really enjoyed being in the Temple. It was great that she could be there with family for her first time. She had two of her aunts and her grandma to help her as well as Marien who is a great example for her. It was a neat experience to watch her there and to participate with her. It is weird to think I have a child old enough to be serving in the Temple. I just don't see myself as being old enough for that and yet I am, in fact I am old enough by a few years. Anyhow Natty would like to go back every month and I think that is a great idea. One of the things I have loved the most in my life is the time I have spent serving in the Temple, it is the Lords classroom. It was a great part of our Easter Saturday and sure to be a great part of our Easter Weekend.
