I am having a string of bad luck at the local grocery store that starts with a W and ends in an almart. Seems I have a knack for picking out the worst shopping cart in the fleet. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just me or are they all bad? Talk about a miserable shopping experience.
I had to run in yesterday and pick up some bottled water for the LBH. I definitely picked the wrong cart. The thing was bouncing all over the place in the front right wheel and it was perhaps the noisiest cart I have ever pushed around the store. I finally tilted it back and pushed along. Mothers were pulling their kids out of my line of fire and they were looking at me funny. Sorry my fellow shoppers, there were two choices. Either I could push my cart the way it was and we could all enjoy the 6.9 rolling quake or I could tilt the cart back on the rear wheels and we could all shop in peace.
Tonight I was in for a few minutes with the boys to pick up a couple of items. Jack needed some seeds for a school project - you know, gardening seeds. There were a few items we needed to replenish at the house and so there we were. I attempted to grab a cart and got two that were frozen together so moved on to the next and quickly discovered that it didn't turn. Oh the horror. The non turning cart is a little more common for me than earthquake cart.
The only thing worse than having to deal with a crappy cart is having to deal with said crappy cart whilst chasing kids around. It is pretty much why I prefer to shop alone. Oh my.
