We have been maintaining, no wrong word. We have been limping along with a fish tank for a couple of years now. I don't remember exactly how many fish we have had, somewhere around 10 or so. The tank has been down to 4 fish for quite a while now. The other day I was adding water and I failed to close the lid. Later in the evening when we were getting the boys in bed and having prayers and closing out the day I noticed the lid was open. I closed it and counted up the fish. One was missing. I studied the tank trying to locate it. There was no trace of it anywhere. It was not floating around the surface or the bottom. It is just gone. So what happened to it? I have no idea where it has gone. I expect one day to be pulling clothes out of one of the drawers for the boys and suddenly there will be a fish corpse. I don't know. I am sure this is a very intriguing post. Really, I just wanted us to be able to look back and remember the fish that disappeared. So fish, you are gone but not forgotten.
