First up would be Mike gearing up for the festivities. The picture does not show it but the antlers are equipped with little red light bulbs that flash randomly. Shortly after getting his head dress on Mike played Santa with Amy and sorted the presents from under the tree. Well done.
Mike, Liana and Karcher, looking good on Christmas morning. Other than briefly meeting Liana at the wedding I really have not gotten to know her. Knowing Mike as I do it was obvious that Liana had to be a pretty incredible person. This is true. She also seems to be able to hold her own with Mike and that is an accomplishment in and of itself. Very happy that Liana was able to make the trip - also happy that you came too Mike though I know you will have something to say about this post.
This trip was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting Karcher though I had seen him in a photo or two - one photo in particular where he was very well placed. Indoor dogs are really not my thing but old Karcher jumping up in my lap while I was catching a nap on Christmas Eve scored some points for the little fella.
Amy - nice sweater! Where have i seen that before? You certainly made things fun as we watched a movie nearly every night through the week and you managed to fall asleep in the first couple of minutes every time. It was all good though. I am really looking forward to our Eclipse night as well. I just love that Edward...
Mother - nice sweater! Where have I seen that before? Thanks for everything mom. You made a tough holiday much easier for me. Good work on that Speed Stick as well.
Padre - Had to throw in this picture with the bow on the head holding up his present from Amy. Not sure if there was a swear word that came out of his mouth when he opened it - hmmm?
Proof that the old man actually wore the shirt and proudly at that.
Okay, me with a little Ginger Beer. Good call on the part of Mike and Liana. Stoney's Ginger Beer in South Africa was one of my favorite beverages. This stuff from Australia is rather tasty as well. Everything that you did for myself and for the kids was wonderful. Somehow I think you surpassed the spending limit or you are very good shoppers. Thank you.
I have to include this pic. Dave and Dani surprised me with a big box that had only one thing in it - this stunning picture of Neil Diamond. What a stud. If nothing else this picture should have been his shoe in to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame a few weeks ago. I will frame it and display it proudly - somewhere. Much Thanks.
A little later in the day I picked up the kids and we were able to spend a couple hours together. That was fun. They were in their Christmas PJ's and came over to open gifts. Anyway, here are the pics I mentioned of them.
Pretty Natty. She has gotten a bit taller lately and is really just a beautiful girl. Hard to believe she is almost 11 years old. I am far to young to have a daughter this old.
Jack Jack playing trains. I took a few pics of him playing with these little trains on the domino track he built. This was my favorite though. Jack loves a good train and track and this was just that.
Andyboy "Iron Man" Tano. He loves Iron Man. What else can I say? He was Iron Man for Halloween, he loves to sing about Iron Man living his life in a garbage can and he was not about to take off the helmet, glove, and chest piece. Well, he did for a few minutes but had to be geared up for the picture. He fell asleep on the way home and so i carried in a slumbering Iron Man.
The kids.
Me and the kids.
Well, that is it. I still have pics from the party to play with and will do that another time. Glad for the day and the fun that was had with everyone.
