Tilapia

Ahhh Tilapia, what a fine fish. I am not a huge fan of fish but Tilapia has become one of my favorites. The first time I partook of said fish was at the Bonefish Grill in Sarasota Florida in January of 2005. How is that for pulling it off the top of my head. Actually I remember it well because it was when I first went to Florida to check out the area. I had it with a mango salsa that was excellent and for starters, Bang Bang Shrimp which is perhaps my favorite appetizer of all time. Sad that there are no Bonefish Grills out here in the West. I may have to look and see if there is something in Vegas. It would be worth the trip. I digress.

So why does this little fish capture the Title of my blog today? Simple really, it is what I had for lunch. It was good too. Parmesan crusted. Actually it wasn't so much the food that was wonderful about lunch but the company. I had a little lunch date with Heidi and just enjoyed spending some time with her today. Andy and I went over and had fun playing with Abby and Paige and Piper. I had to laugh because we played hide and seek for a little bit and when I had to go hide I went and stood by the front door and hung a pink coat over my head. Abby somehow managed to find me. Not sure how. A couple of turns later I was out looking for Abby and wouldn't you know it, she was hiding in the middle of the living room with a pink coat draped over her head. I pretended not to see her for a while and then peaked under the coat to find her there. Andy was enjoying himself as well and he didn't want to leave. Little Paige was doing well. Andy really liked looking at the scar on her back. Piper ever gave him a sneak peek at the scar on her back. Andy loves the little girls. He told me at Stake Conference that he was going to marry those girls after we had seen them in the hall. The time went by too fast. I am hoping for another lunch date soon.

Tilapia, wonderful fish. I actually visited a Tilapia farm in Dade City Florida earlier this year. It was fascinating to see how they grew the fish. Perhaps another time I will post a few details and the story of Morning Star Fishery and the way they farm Tilapia.

In other news, I miss Heidi and I got my trash kicked by my kids tonight. We had a wrestling hour and I took a bit of a beating. Actually, I held my own out there. Had the "eye of the tiger" until Andy gouged it out of my head with his bare hands. That kid can be so ferocious. We all had a good time rough housing a bit. Grandpa brought over an extra Christmas tree tonight and the kids are really excited to set it up tomorrow. Really grateful for the use of the tree. Thank you mom and dad.

Got a call from the Stake Executive Secretary tonight and need to report to the Stake offices tomorrow afternoon to meet with the Stake Presidency. Not sure who yet. That doesn't sound good. I really kind of like teaching on the 3rd Sunday of the month. The Stake Exec Sect. invited my wife to accompany me. I think he felt really bad when I told him I was divorced. I didn't feel so bad but he was sure apologetic. Well, my guess, something to do with the Elders Quorum presidency as that has been the story of my life. With the exception of 6 months in Cedar City and two years in Carson City I have served in the Elders Quorum Presidency in every ward I have lived in. We will see what happens.
