Went to the Temple this evening. I love to go to the Temple. Dave came with and Amy came down as well. She brought Skyler and they hung out while Dave and I went through a session. Anyway the drive down was interesting. We have been experiencing a lot of rain this week and there are water falls on the mountains, the little reservoir in New Harmony is the fullest I've ever seen and all of the little creek beds are raging rivers. They said that St. George has had more rain in the last few days then it has over the last two years. That is pretty amazing. So it was a wet trip but great none theless. I did catch a power nap at one point during the drive down and apparently the other 3 thought it was pretty funny. There was something about a good place to ride horses. ?
So in the session there was a young man going through for the first time. I always enjoy watching that. His family was there with him and I watched as he came into the celestial room and embraced them. I thought about my own experience and also that of Pete. I will remember the letter I got on the mission when Pete described that experience and how it was better then the raging drum solo he played after Kari Keller said yes to going to prom. Actually I may have those details completely wrong. It was 16 years ago. Anyhow, those were a few thoughts I had watching him and then Dave walked in and I felt a great love for him. It was great to be
in the Temple with my brother.
After the Temple we went to In N Out Burger. I hadn't been there in 6 years. It was a good visit. I may have to go back there before another 6 years passes.
Anyhow, it was a great day. I am grateful for it
