I just wanted to take a moment to express gratitude to friends and family that have helped me this week. I have left overs in my fridge from Sunday that I had planned to use but have not had to make dinner at all this week. My dishwasher is starting to get a little rusty and doesn't know what to do having 5 nights off in a row. With the age of said dishwasher this can be a hazardous thing.
Truly it has been a tremendous blessing and I thank Heidi for a wonderful dinner on Monday evening and Jay & Sara for great meals Tuesday, Wednesday and today as well as taking the kids over to the Ward party last night and helping to take care of them. Jay and Sara have watched the kids all week and that has been a great help - even with the little fight that has gone on between a couple of young ladies. Sara provided a masterful object lesson with hot wheel cars in a sit down meeting with the young ladies and hopefully we are learning and growing from it all. I believe this is the case.
It never ceases to amaze me the way the Lord blesses our lives. Often times it is through small acts of service provided by ordinary people who love the Lord and are trying to follow him. I am grateful for these people. I hope to have a trained ear to the promptings of the Spirit and a speedy resolve to act and follow those promptings.
