A Brainy Film with Lasers to follow

We were treated today to a fun trip to St George by Jay and Sara. It was a great time and the kids really enjoyed themselves. It started with a movie - nice to see that there is still a $2 theater around. Flood Street theater was showing Megamind and that was the movie of choice. I think everyone enjoyed it at least I know that Natty, Jack and Andy all enjoyed it. I thought it was very well done.

After our movie venture we went over and played laser tag. It had been several years since I last played laser tag. In fact I have to go back to 1994 when I was serving in the Belleville Ward the second time on the mission. That is a lot of fun. The kids all loved it and they are ready to go again. It all went by rather quickly. Anyhow, lots of fun.

In N Out was the choice for an early dinner. I didn't eat anything there because of the diet. That was tough as I am a big fan. Sara suggested that a burger protein style would qualify and it is close and would have been delicious I am sure but I passed. I still have a solid two weeks plus on this and that isn't real exciting right now. I have had a couple of cravings today, obviously In N Out was tough but also wanted some cheese and some nuts. It will be nice when I get to maintenance and those things will be okay in small quantities.

There is something that I don't care for when it comes to this diet. I don't know if it is the drops that I take or if it is just the fact that I am eating very little but patience really runs thin. I noticed it the first time I was on the diet as well. That is a tough thing and you really need to keep yourself in check. It will be nice to get through it. I am looking forward to eggs for breakfast as well as some sugar free smoothies not to mention some nuts/seeds, cheese and a few additional calories each day. Mmmmm, something to look forward to.

It was nice to be down in St George today. I must have officially defrosted because right now I am very cold. I don't know what the deal is. I have been cold since we got back to Cedar, hands are freezing. Just can't seem to warm up. It is a little weird. Hope I am not getting sick.

Well, that is pretty much it. Grateful for the fun day and for Jay and Sara treating us to a great visit to St. George.

  1. John: are you taking your vitamin B-12. I think that is to help with your patience (don't know what you can do about feeling cold...)

  2. Ahh shut it ma! Only kidding, I was attempting to be less patient. Yes, taking the B-12. I think I will try a sweater on the other.
