Kites, Slides and Sanding

This morning we went to Discovery Park for the SUU Head Start C-4 Fatherhood Activity for Andy. On the menu, kite flying. Sweet. For those who are familiar with Cedar you know that the wind is always blowing at Discovery Park so it is the perfect place to go fly kites. Wouldn't you know it, today there was no wind, well very slight wind anyway. Kites did fly and all three kids enjoyed their kites and the activity. It was good. Andy didn't last very long with his kite but he sure did enjoy climbing this tree.

The slip n slide was in action today and all the kids enjoyed themselves. The water was a bit cold and they were a little less than excited in the beginning but then they got into it and had a great time. Well, the boys were less than excited but Natty got them going and excited. It was fun to see some smiling, wet faces.

Busy could describe the day I've had. It just didn't stop. Fatherhood activity followed by soccer sign ups, then we set up slip n slide. The kids liked it. I also ended up putting in a lot of time at the LBH. Lots and lots to do with sanding the floor. There was also carpet to rip up, blinds to take down and several other little things. Grateful to have Dave there and pops worked the sander like a wild man. The floor is looking so much better. It is really quite remarkable.

Well, I am beat. The day has been full and I am ready to crash out. Grateful for Jay and Sara and also mom having the kids over while I worked. Very much appreciated.
