I spent the day scraping popcorn off of three ceilings at the future home of the Little Brick House. There is one more room with it but I thought I would just leave it there as it will be the work room and not really open to the public. Well, I think I have changed my mind about this as it is a room that I will be spending some time in with different projects. Once I finished the other large room that will be retail space I was looking and comparing through the door way that separates the two. I think the unfinished drywall is a much cleaner look then the old popcorn ceiling. It is noticeably darker and just feels dirty. So chances are highly probable that I will be scraping another ceiling soon. I really don't like the popcorn look. As Amy would say, "woof!".
Andy took a dive into the corner of a wall at Jay and Sara's tonight. What is with these people? Their home is like a destructive zone for my kids. Natalie with her leg and now Andy with his head. What is the deal? Actually he was just playing around and managed to fly right into the corner whilst leading with the head. He was horsing around with Uncle Bubba who was feeling pretty bad about it. No worries Dave. It happens. He only cried for a little bit and then did very well as the gash in his head was probably a half inch long. I held him for a while with a towel and ice on his head and then after an application of neosporin he was ready to go and dye some Easter eggs. The kid is tough as nails. It was funny to watch him walk over to the table. He was a little wobbly but he kept his balance well enough.

I have a problem myself when it comes to my kids and blood. I don't do real well with that. Clorinda was assisting with the neosporin and was looking to give me some to apply. I told her to go ahead and take care of it. Later Sara talked about applying a liquid bandage. I was cool with that so long as she did it. She did. Both Clo and Sara had a laugh at me for being so weak in the knees. Well, really I was performing my duty of holding Andy and comforting him through the various treatments. Obviously performed admirably as Andy didn't fuss. That's my boy. Really, like I would be afraid to apply a little neosporin or paint on a bandage... please.
