Little Engineers

Today Natty got to go to St. George with the ladies - meaning her aunts Clorinda, Liana and Sara, and her cousins Marien, Mack, Tara and Katherine.  Not sure if Anna also went or not.  Anyhow, she seems to have had a good time.  Special thanks to her Aunt Liana who decided to buy her some boots.  Liana - you are much kinder than I.  Much thanks.

The boys came to work with me though I blew it as Jim and Jay had planned on them for today and were set to make marshmallow guns.  Jim made them marshmallow guns anyway and they are very excited about them.  Anyhow, they came with me and then got to go on a special outing with Grandpa.  Turns out that Grandpa had made arrangements for Jack and Andy to check out a diesel locomotive.  They had no idea what the surprise was and were excited to go.  When they heard they were going to check out some trains they were even more excited.

Grandpa said he got some pictures of the boys so we will post some up when we get them.  Anyway, they got to climb aboard.  They got to help fire up the engine and then drive the train on a short stretch of track.  Both the boys worked their little engineers status by blowing the horn a few times.  Pops says they had a great time and even learned about the toilets on the diesel locomotive.  How can you beat that?

When I saw each of the boys I asked them about their little trip and they were very excited to tell me about it.  They just smiled and that was fantastic.  Special thanks for Padre, Johnny, and Abby for helping to make this possible for them.  I was sad that I could not go though quite happy for them to have the experience.
