Touched My Heart
We were finishing up dinner and the boys managed to find themselves sitting with a Christmas gift from a couple of years ago on the living room floor. It is a book from their Grandpa David, Grandma Jo, Aunt Emily and Aunt Gillian. The book has pictures and then some recordings from them talking and sharing holiday memories together. After listening to it for I don't know how many times Jack got up and came into see me. He said very seriously whilst holding his heart "Dad, that touched my heart". He was very sincere and I thought he was going to get a little emotional. Well, I asked Jack if I could touch his heart as well, he said sure. I reached up to pat his little heart a little bit and then called out "kalima" and grabbed at his chest. This is a reference to Indiana Jones Temple of Doom and it made Jack's day. He laughed and laughed. Then we had to replay it a few times. It was a fun little moment, a heart touching one at that.
