Projects
I'm making progress on a couple of projects that I have been working on. The sprinklers in the front yard are done and working quite well. I guess they are almost done with two things left to do. It is good and makes watering the yard so much easier and more effective. That allows me to be just about ready to lay down the sod where I took out the old apple tree and replace some sod on the edges and by the big front window. I am excited about that. Moving some dirt to build up some low spots and we are almost there. I need to get some good old fashioned manure to mix into the top soil along with a little fertilizer and we should be ready for the sod. I don't know if that is needed but it is what I have always done when laying sod and it has been successful so I am doing it again. I am a creature of habit. Anyhow, that should be fun and something I want to complete this week. I also spent a little time on some mud work on some walls in the basement. I had redone a wall a year ago and was not happy with how some of it turned out so I made some fixes to it today. Have some sanding to do down there and then some painting to knock out. The ceiling in the future exercise room as well as the walls in there and then the walls in the family room. Jack's train room will also need some paint and some wall work done but that is storing a few things right now so it will be completed later but not too much later. I need to also pick up the flooring for down there. I want to get that going and done preferably this week as well so I can get baseboards done next week. So much to do, so little time.
