Hurry Cake

Last night as we were preparing for bed Natty tells me she needs to take a sandcastle cake to her Young Women's New Beginnings.   That activity was tonight.   That meant I needed to make a cake in a hurry.  I did my best in a rush.  I had ideas that were a bit grander than what we actually accomplished.

The flavor was great, a little pineapple delight and a pinà-colada cream cheese frosting.  I have no idea how to spell pinà-colada and spell checker isn't offering any corrections so we're keeping it the way it is.   Unfortunately the cake wasn't quite as lite as I wanted.   I need to figure out baking cakes.  Learning how to bake a cake in the middle of a lunch rush isn't advised.

Anyhow, I found some ideas on a Google search; ice cream cone towers, vanilla wafer sand.  Hmmmm, too bad I was so hurried.   Oh well, the young women seemed to enjoy it.  Here's a couple of pics.
