S E P's

Twice a year here in the good old Iron County School District they have what they call SEP weeks.  SEP stands for Student Education Plan - or at least I think that is what it stands for.  I have to say I appreciate Jack and Andy's teachers, I appreciate all who work hard to make South Elementary a successful place as well as Cedar Middle School and the efforts put forth there.  Now, while I think it is good to meet face to face with the teacher I don't know that I really gathered information from these visits that I couldn't have gotten in a quick email.  I don't know.  I don't mean to be a boob or negative but it takes a lot of time not only for the parents but also for the teachers.  I also don't really know how much was done by way of a Student Education Plan.  There wasn't a whole lot of planning happening.  This was more of a performance review.  In fact to be more accurate we should drop SEP and rename it SPR or Student Performance Review.  I thought we kind of accomplished this back when I was a kid with what we commonly referred to as a report card.  Well, it is what it is.  I have done two out of three and that third one should be done tomorrow.  I can report that the boys are doing well.  We will see how Natty is doing tomorrow.  Well, that was a most exciting entry I am sure.
