Great Game

I went to the Cedar Redmen Vs. Canyon View Falcons football game tonight.  This was the first time I have been to this Cedar City rivalry football game.  It was not a disappointment.  Well, it was a bit of a disappointment at the end when Cedar didn't pull off the win but it was a very close game with Canyon View winning the game for the first time in many years by the score of 42 to 41.  There were some very big and exciting plays from Cedar including kick off return for a touchdown, a huge run by their quarterback for a touchdown, some big throws and catches.  It was great.  Unfortunately the defense could not stop the run.  Not even close.  And so that was the story of the game; quick, big plays from Cedar and then slow, smash mouth, ram the ball down your throat running offense by Canyon View.  They came out with an offensive line that was going to dominate and they did.  They were tough and the Cedar defense seemed a bit week.  Dave said he saw players from both teams getting emotional at the end and shedding some tears.  I asked if he had done the same.  A little.  Anyway, it was a good game.  Pretty exciting.
