Storm Watching

This evening we had a storm blowing through Cedar.  After dinner dishes had been completed I went out and sat on the front porch or whatever one would refer to the giant slab of concrete as, yes I sat there.  I sat and watched the storm clouds and enjoyed the smell of rain in the distance and flashes of lightening.  It figured rain would eventually come to us but it seemed to go around our section of Cedar.  Well, after a spell it began to hit and started out as hail.  Not huge hail but that's how it started and then we had a hefty downpour.  It was fantastic.  Sometimes it is quite relaxing and fun to sit and enjoy a little storm watching.  Eventually Natty and Jack came out and joined in the watching.  They came after the rain started and then had to go out and stand in it. I guess there are times when one just needs to feel the rain on their face.  I didn't need to do that today.
