There we were in fast and testimony meeting this afternoon when Natty got up and shared her testimony. She did a great job. The microphone was calling her up she said. Pretty funny. Anyhow she talked about being in a hard place and now being in a good place. I am very grateful for that change and for her faith and trust in experimenting on the word. I don't pretend that it is easy to do that, it is not. Anyhow, I rejoice in her joy and in her happiness as I am sure most parents do with their children. She did share that we like to tease each other about getting up so she called me out on needing to share my testimony. After some nagging by Natalie, hard to believe she would ever do that, and a couple of smiling glances from Shawn Garfield I made my way up. It was good to share some thoughts there. Anyway, grateful for Natty Sue and her testimony.
I will also briefly mention that tonight I put on a meal for 8 people visiting Cedar City. My friend Liz from Vegas set up a weekend getaway with some friends. Last night I felt inspired to invite them over for dinner so they would not have to spend money for a meal on Sunday. I picked up food to make a Hawaiian meal and it went quite well. Everything seemed very flavorful and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It feels good to be in the service of others.
