Today we had a little fun in the cafe`. I don't know what was going through my mind but I thought that a sweet dance move was necessary. I did this Broadway style turn. I don't really know if it was Broadway. Maybe I should just qualify my sweet moves as interpretive. That pretty much makes any move acceptable as it is my interpretation. And now it is extremely clear to any readers that I know absolutely nothing about dancing. I do like dancing. I used to love going to the young singles dances in Vegas every Friday night. I did a lot of interpretive dancing there. That is a nicer way of saying I looked at other people and mach ed their moves. It was fun. I should do more dancing.
So dancing became the theme today. I showed my Broadway turn to Dave who liked it. I then had to do it again for Amy who did not watch. I had to do it again for Amy and again she didn't watch. Then again with the same result. Finally I performed it one last time and had a reaction. Oh, it wasn't from Amy. There was a customer suddenly at the counter. An older lady. She loved it. She requested that I do it again and was laughing. It was fun.
We started throwing down all kinds of fun moves while we made sandwiches and the variety of other things we have to do. Dave was working some of his Salsa dancing - he and Dani are going to a Salsa class on Saturdays. I threw out some moves of my own and said that they were merely pic ante sauce - maybe I need to get some of this formal training so I can be a true salsa dancer. I mean really, name a famous pic ante sauce dancer - okay, besides me. They don't exist.
Now the debate begins. Would you rather spend the day in dance moves or have a life is a musical day and have to sing everything? Today was the first dance move day for me but I have to say, it ranks up there with life is a musical day. Both have one of the best ingredients for life - fun.
It just occurred to me that I have had days where dance has made it's way into my regular labors. Many days at that. I find myself cuttin loose all the time when I vacuum or do yard work. I'm tellin ya, it adds a little excitement to life.
