I did not note in last nights post that the snow was coming. A storm blew in yesterday afternoon and round about 8 PM or so we started to see some light snow fall. It started to accumulate on the grass and wasn't too long later that it started sticking to the sidewalk. Jack got up early and was excited about helping me shovel. We got on it and cleared a path down to the corner so the boys could get to school without having to hike through the snow. I wasn't going to go for that. Jack was all about it and so I assisted him. We then headed back home and worked on the driveway some. We got it done and then headed in to get ready for school. That is a great morning work out. I imagine that my arms will be a little sore tomorrow.
Following my home shoveling I took care of a couple additional chores around the house and then headed into the LBH knowing that there was going to be a lot more shoveling to do. Dave was there already shoveling when I pulled up. That parking lot is quite large in comparison to my driveway. We really had no choice and just set to clearing it. If I thought clearing my walks was a work out I was mistaken. The parking lot was much more intense. We managed to get about 1/3rd of the way through it when an old timer showed up on a tractor. I was so jealous. He just set to clearing it. It didn't take him long. I asked him what we owed him and he came me the old no worries hand gesture - I don't know that there is an official hand gesture for that so simply make one up. I figure it was just an old timer that loves to get out on his tractor and make good things happen. I would love to have a tractor and the ability to go and do the same.
Well a little snow didn't slow us down. We made a trip to the Aquatic center again tonight. The kids love the pool for sure. I hope we manage to get our moneys worth.
